No dendrograma aparecem sete subgrupos.

Abstract Planetariums are centers of scientific diffusion recognized since the decade of 20 of the last century. Most planetariums are using the internet to exercise their role in formal and non-formal science education usually in astronomy. How these institutions are linked in this changing environment? How they exchange references and what are their meanings? Webometrics is a new branch of Infometrics that can give us some clues about these issues. In this study we conducted two webometrics analysis on 165 sites from planetariums around the world selected from a more extensive database (approximately 1519 sites). The database is in a directory of the International Planetarium Society (IPS). IPS is an association that includes about 700 individuals and institutions in 35 countries. The first analysis dealed with the visibility of individual sites using an impact factor that takes into account the number of citations (links) versus the size of the website (eWIF). In a second approach we discuss the relationship and proximity between the sites using clustering analysis from a co-inlinks matrix. The analysis of selected sites through webometric methodologies allowed us to view the proximity between them in terms of the links provided and identify factors that influence the group ́s formation. The matrix of co- inlinks generated linguistic groups. These groups can be clustered in there great language families: Germanic, Latin and Slavic. In the dendrogram appear seven major groups. Two subgroups with Germanic languages distinguish to other by the big number of sites: the English language group (compound of USA ́s sites) and the German language group (Germans, Swiss and Austrians sites). Another large group included mixed sites from several countries (others Europeans and South Americans websites can be found here) and is near a there small Slavic groups (Polish, Czechs and East Slavic sites). Detached of the others, the subgroup of Latin language contains only French sites. Therefore, local factors such as culture, language (primarily) and geopolitical relations were revealed. Cluster analysis of sites reflected these institutional contexts clear and unequivocally. It is quite common speech of the Web breaks geographical boundaries. Experimental evidence of this work does not corroborate this view.
